Plant diet could save 1.3 million Americans every year!

Updated: Dec 11, 2019

Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and other doctors and researchers have performed studies relating nutrition to heart health. The results are astounding. For example, in Esselstyn's latest study, they found that a diet of low-fat whole plants with no animal products, processed foods or oils reduced heart disease by 99%. This result was without adding exercise, medication, or stress reduction techniques.

It is important that people understand that it is broad categories of food that are important. Low-fat whole plants are good for eliminating heart disease, but there are hundreds if not thousands of them. Similarly, animal foods are harmful, causing not only heart disease but also cancer, diabetes and a growing list of 30 other diseases. But to demonize red meat for example does the public a disservice because chicken, pork, fish, butter, ice cream, milk, cheese, eggs and hundreds or thousands of other animal products are just as bad.

If you are interested on the causes of heart disease, you should first read the book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease by Caldwell Esselstyn.
